Several colleges and specialized higher education facilities are also located in the community, ensuring learning opportunities for residents of all ages. In recent news, zoning changes and a new Nevada Legislature bill  (SB 207) recently passed.  Starting in the 2015/2016 school year, students from The Paseos will attend Staton Elementary or Sig Rogich Middle school in The Arbors village and the Clark County School District will commence construction on a new elementary school in The Paseos later this year.  The district plans to open this new school to students in The Paseos in time for the 2017/2018 school year.

Palo Verde High School will begin offering International Baccalaureate (IB) programs for the 2015-16 school year.  This highly acclaimed program focuses on inquiry-based learning that embodies a hands-on, worldly education that includes a demanding and rewarding curriculum, foreign language study and a real- world capstone project.  For more information on IB programs, visit www.ibo.org.

West Career and Technical Academy (WCTA) is a magnet high school operated by CCSD to which students may apply.  It provides a college and career preparatory education by offering students the opportunity to select from one of nine program areas: Veterinary and Medical Sciences, Biotechnology, Nursing, Sports Medicine, Environmental Science, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Business Management, Digital Media, and Information Technology.  West Tech is the first Google pilot school in the district.
